Food Magazine

The first step in designing this food magazine was to decide on a specific food to study, mine being bread. The next step was to workshop a name for the magazine and a tagline. The goal here was to grab the attention of the readers just by the front cover using snappy and memorable language. Next came the process of building a table of contents and gathering articles to fit under each category. Throughout the magazine were recipes using a combination of sweet and savory breads, all of which were carefully chosen to ensure the inclusion of a variety of experience levels. While the rest of the magazine layout was coming together, I was busy in the kitchen baking all sorts of bread and photographing them right away to capture the freshness. After all the bread was baked and all photos and the copy were collected, the magazine layout started to come together.
