Rhythm of Change

Rhythm of Change is a museum exhibition that digs deeper into the correlation between America’s economic tides, political shifts, and cultural currents from the Roaring Twenties through the Tumultuous Forties. This inspiration for this project was a classic swing song from the 1940s, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by The Andrew Sisters. Swing music was widely listened to during World War II by soldiers, families, and citizens. This music offered a connection between the soldier and their families and was seen as a moral booster as it lightened hearts during the dark times of war. This museum show includes a system of promotional materials, a curator’s guide, and a gallery or exhibition guide.
